ABOUT
Founder & CEO Toby Anderson is a 15 year Consumer Product Goods (CPG) retail professional along with being a 9 year Air Force veteran. Throughout his professional journey, he started to take notice of the impact businesses and consumers had on the planet. Captivated by the 2005 book "Let My People Go Surfing" by Patagonia Founder Yvon Chouinard, the seeds of business in sustainability were soon introduced. A few years later while working for Richard Branson's Virgin Megastores, Toby got his first taste in working in sustainability. Volunteering as a Project Manager for a mission helping children stricken with HIV/AIDS in Africa, Toby saw the impact of sustainability through the development of an after school facility using a discarded 40' shipping container. It was these early origins coupled with today's alarming statistics that our planet is in dire straits that formed the genesis to start Sustaworld. Sustaworld will work with environmentally responsible companies and become a beacon of sustainability knowledge.
Toby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley. He currently resides in Hollywood, California and enjoys spending time with his Boston Terrier Ozzie, playing beach volleyball and softball, hiking local trails, and doing HIIT classes at RetroFit WeHo.
